Birth Story / Utah Photographer

My friend, Makira is such an amazing person.
She is so upbeat, positive, and an incredibly strong woman.
When she asked me to take her Birth Story pictures, I was so excited for the new challenge. But I was also freaking out a little inside.
I had never done a birth story before but I knew I wanted to lighting to be raw and very natural. I had never done a shoot in such a low, natural-light setting.
So I did all the research I could online and tested out my camera in low light situations to make sure that I automatically knew what to put my camera settings to as the sun dimmed through the small hospital room window. Cause once the baby comes, everything happens VERY fast!

Poor girl had very painful contractions for a week, nonstop!
but she stuck through it all and gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby girl!
Congrats Makira and Tyler!
I KNOW you are going to be amazing and loving parents to Rigby!
Thank you so much for asking me to be there to capture these precious moments
I cried the whole time because it was such a special moment for them.
I remember the overwhelming feeling of love when my baby boy was born
and I was just so excited for them to get to have that feeling for themselves, Im sure the nurses thought something was wrong with me...

Warning: A few pictures contain semi-graphic (but beautiful) birth images
...that being said: Enjoy!
